Following Christ means that we willingly trust him with access to every part of our lives – even our finances. Throughout Scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has blessed us with. We believe that when we give God control of our resources, He can produce a harvest of blessings far greater than any we could produce on our own.
At Selma UMC, it’s the financial generosity of everyday people in our community that fuels the incredible life change we experience. Our support comes from the tithes of average people (giving 10 percent of their earnings), as well as other contributions from Selma UMC attendees.
